Anjali Prasad is a Michigan federal criminal defense attorney and former federal prosecutor representing clients in serious federal and state criminal matters, including white collar offenses, healthcare fraud investigations, supervised release issues, and complex criminal defense cases.

Anjali Prasad cut her teeth serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, one of the largest prosecuting offices in the country. As a city prosecutor, she was trained in high-volume, high-stakes courtrooms. Her trial experience is unquantifiable. She also worked as an appellate prosecutor, filing hundreds of appeals on behalf of victims of crimes.

After amassing more than a decade of experience as a city prosecutor, Ms. Prasad accepted a position as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan. There, she directed grand jury investigations, conducted trials in the United States District Court, and wrote appeals before the United States Sixth Circuit. She became an expert in federal sentencing guidelines along the way. In 2024, Anjali Prasad was appointed as a Commissioner on the Attorney Grievance Commission, a role she currently serves in.

Anjali Prasad flipped sides several years ago and now pours her passion for advocacy into criminal defense. She owns and operates Prasad Legal, PLLC. Her knowledge and experience within the criminal justice system enable her to represent clients at every stage, from pre-indictment through post-sentencing.
